Have you heard of the indie game Cuphead? More than 2 million people have heard enough of the game to buy this indie darling. The game is not only inherently beautiful, using classic cartoons as its aesthetic choice which made it stand out, it is also an homage to classic games that are really hard.
The bullet hell boss-rush focused platformer has now sold 2 million copies, as announced by developers StudioMDHR. “Even in our wildest dreams, we never thought our crazy little characters would be embraced by this many fans from around the world and we are continuously humbled by your support,” the post reads.
StudioMDHR’s struggles to get the game finish, including remortgaging their houses, paid off big time. If you have not check it out, it is out now on PC via Steam and Xbox One.
