Kingdom Of The Dead, an upcoming Horror FPS by one-dev indie developer Dirigo Games now has a release date, and a publisher.
The game will be published by Hook. This is a new publishing division under the Digital Bros Group- parent company of 505 Games. Hook focuses on “offering a unique selection of indie games which stand out for concept, visual, genre or themes,” which Kingdom Of The Dead, its first published game, perfectly fits in.
In Kingdom Of The Dead, you will be slaying undead enemies as Agent Chamberlain, a professor turned Army General involved in a secret government program, taking place in the east coast of North America in the 19th century.
The game features a hand-drawn visual entirely in black-and-white, and from the looks of the trailer, gives off some retro-shooter (or some may say boom shooter) vibes.
The old-school vibe is not just for show. You will be facing bosses with health bars, levels with different objectives when played at higher difficulty levels (nice) and there are cheat codes to unlock as well.
Kingdom Of The Dead will feature 8 weapons, 22 undead enemies, customisable colour palette if black-and-white isn’t your style, plus an endless mode.
Kingdom Of The Dead will be out on January 26, 2022 for PC (Steam).
