Hitman 2 has a new game mode, as revealed today. Ghost Mode will have you and another player battle to rack up as many assassinations as you can.
Both players will be playing on the same map, starting at the same spot and will be killing the same targets. The catch is that you will see the other player as a ghost (so no, you cannot shoot the other player) and the other player’s actions that change the world state- guards on alert, crowd panicking, etc.- will not affect yours. Outside of some items like Ghost Coin that distracts NPCs from the other player’s world.
Only clean, silent kills count so you still need to be the silent assassin if you want to win this. You gain one point if the other player fails to also kill the same target in 20 seconds. First to five wins.
We expected that Hitman 2 will dabble with mulitplayer, as seen in the Hitman Sniper Assassin pre-order bonus, but to see a competitive multiplayer is quite a surprise.
Hitman 2 will be out on November 13th for the PS4, PC and Xbox One.
