Playground Games has shared the full specs required to run the upcoming open-world racing game Forza Horizon 5 on PC.
You better clear up some storage space because hoo boy, you’ll need 110GB of it. And if you’re looking for a graphics card, big VRAM is now important with these new games that are also on next-gen consoles.
The handy-dandy chart shows three different tiers of specs requirement, the minimum, recommended, and ideal specs. Here they are in written form:
Minimum Specs
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 3 1200/ Intel Core i5-4460
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 470 (4GB VRAM)/ Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 (4GB VRAM)
- RAM 8GB
- Storage: 110GB
Recommended Specs
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 1500X/ Intel Core i5-8400
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 590 (8GB VRAM)/ Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 (8GB VRAM)
- RAM 8GB
- Storage: 110GB
Ideal Specs
- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3800XT/ Intel Core i7-10700K
- GPU: AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT(16GB VRAM)/ Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 (10GB VRAM)
- RAM 16GB
- Storage: 110GB SSD
You’ll also need Windows 10 with the November 2019 (1909) to run Forza Horizon 5.
PC players can expect a bunch of tweakable graphics settings, which includes unlocked framerates, 4K resolution, 21:9 ultrawide display support, HDR and, most importantly, a field-of-view (FOV) slider.
Ray-tracing is available, but only in Forzavista mode where you inspect cars in detail, including the ability to open and close doors, hoods and trunks.
Also, the following steering wheels from Logitech, Thrustmaster and Fanatec are supported on PC:
- Logitech: Driving Force, G25, G27, G29, G920, G923PS, G923XB, Momo
- Thrustmaster: Ferrari 458, T150 RS, T300 RS, T500 RS, TMX, T-GT, TS-XW, TX, TS-PC
- Fanatec: V1, V2, V2.5, CSL, CSL DD, DD1, DD2, Universal HUB device
Haptic feedback from the Xbox Wireless Controller (i.e. the rumble on the triggers) will be supported on PC, including the Steam release.
Forza Horizon 5 will be out on November 9 for the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC (Steam, Microsoft Store). Like all Xbox Game Studios games, it will be on Xbox Game Pass on launch.
