Here’s The First Gameplay Video For F1 2018

Hello Halo

Ahead of the Monaco Grand Prix of this year’s F1 calendar taking place this weekend, Codemasters have revealed the first gameplay of F1 2018, its annual tie-in game. And what better way to show the game than by having the hometown hero Charles Leclerc driving around the streets of Monte Carlo in a virtual, accurate rendition of his Sauber F1 machine- and yes, that includes the new halo safety feature that revolves around the open cockpit of this year’s cars.

Here’s a video of him do a lap in the new F1 2018.

The visuals of the game has been revamped with better light and cloud formations. As for the gameplay, this year’s game will model the Energy Recovery System (ERS) as part of the vehicle physics. Drivers can manage the ERS, which has multiple modes to deploy and can give a performance boost when the time is right.

F1 2018 will also feature some improvements to Career Mode (we reckon it’s the return of interviews and press conferences) as well as more classic F1 cars included. It is set to be out on August 24th for the PS4, PC and Xbox One.
