Pearl Abyss has revealed the English voice cast for the three playable characters in the upcoming game Crimson Desert.
This is also the first time we see the additional two playable characters referred by name.
Main protagonist Kliff is voice by Alec Newman. He’s the 2025 BAFTA Games Award winner for Leading Performer for his performance of “Caz” McLeary in Still Wakes The Deep, and also had roles on Cyberpunk 207, Dying Light 2 and Elden Ring.
The orc Oongka is played by Stewart Scudamore, who had voice credits in games including Assassin’s Creed: Odyssey and Final Fantasy XVI.
The female character Damiane is played by Rebecca Hanssen, who previously voiced Eve in Stellar Blade, and with voice credits in Baldur’s Gate 3 and more recently, Arknights Endfield.
This interview piece features the three talents describing their characters. Also, nice to hear some Scottish accents in a big AAA game.
Voice acting was one the final aspects of the game development to wrap up for Crimson Desert. Pearl Abyss’ previous (and still ongoing) game Black Desert lacks in this department, but from what’s being heard in the various trailers, Crimson Desert isn’t going to be the same case.
Crimson Desert releases on March 19 for the PS5, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), Mac and Xbox Series X|S.
