Here’s More Gameplay Of Soul Calibur VI

Welcome back to the stage of history. If you’re itching to see more of Soul Calibur VI after the Game Awards reveal, the soft reboot of the 3D sword fighting game, here’s 10 more minutes of footage, laced with an interview with producer on what are the new addition to the game.

From the new gameplay seen, we now can see that armour parts can be broken off from repeated damage. The new mechanic, Reversal Edge, should give players more defensive tools and reward players for reading the opponent correctly. It should be easy to execute but will be punishing if missed. The rewarding slow-mo effects seen in Tekken 7 will also make a return. Gameplay speed should be at par of Soul Calibur II, the later games have been criticised for having the pace slowed down.

Here’s the gameplay video:

Soul Calibur VI will be available on the PS4, PC (a first time for the series) and Xbox One sometime in 2018.
