Guilty Gear Strive To Be Published By Bandai Namco In Asia (Except Japan And Korea)

Here’s something interesting. Guilty Gear Strive, the next entry to Arc System Works’ fighting game series, will get a different publisher in Asia.

In Asia, outside of Japan and South Korea, Bandai Namco will be handling publishing duties, as well as Europe.

Usually, Arc System Works self-publishes their games in Asia. So this comes as a surprise.

“I am surprised that the chit-chat I have exchanged with (Bandai Namco general producer) Harada-san a few years ago has come to fruition,” said Guilty Gear series game director Daisuke Ishiwatari.

“I wish this partnership will bring new joy to more users in Europe and Asia. We are working hard with Bandai Namco Entertainment to get people in Europe and Asia to play Guilty Gear more than ever before. Please look forward to it!”

Bandai Namco also publishes several Square Enix games in Asia for PS4- in particular the games developed by Western studios.

Guilty Gear Strive is coming later this year for the PS4. A closed beta is going to happen this weekend, and the final game will be using rollback netcode, to the delight of many in the fighting game community.
