GTA Online: The Chop Shop Update Now Live

While all the hype is on Grand Theft Auto VI, Rockstar Games is still updating GTA Online with the latest content drop, The Chop Shop, now live.

The Chop Shop adds a bunch of new cars, new races and a new property activity in the form of The Salvage Yard. Answer the call from Yusuf Amir and he’ll lead you to purchase a Salvage Yard, which unlocks a new set of missions.

Yusuf, who first appeared in GTA IV The Ballad Of Gay Tony, is accompanied by his cousin Jamal and you’ll be helping them do some new robberies, with a Planning Wall and all that. You have to do all the prep work like heists have, but for stealing rare cars.

Cars can be boosted and you can either send it to the chop shop to be salvaged for parts over time, or sell them off and earn an immediate lump sum of cash by sending them to the docks. Though that requires some careful driving.

It’s good to see GTA hasn’t forgot what those initials mean with all these car-stealing activities it’s adding.

GTA Online The Chop Shop update adds eight new cars, plus the ability to purchase cop cars.

The update also adds the all-new Drift Races, where you are scored in points by how sick of a drift you can pull. Cars can now be outfitted with drift tuning kits.

Players of GTA Online on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S should also be on the lookout for wild animals roaming around Los Santos.

And lastly, a new weapon in the form of the Battle Rifle is added to the game.
