Rockstar Games has released the first teaser trailer for the next GTA game, now officially called Grand Theft Auto VI.
Set in modern day Vice City, Leonidia, the trailer shows various shots of this fictional take on Miami, USA. From highways going across keys (the tiny islands), to a hovercraft, plenty of people partying, instances of what can be simply described as Florida men doing wild things, and alligators.
From the in-game social media shots, looks like the state of fictional Florida in GTA VI is called Leonidia. Leonidia Man has a nice ring to it.
There’s also glimpses of the low-rider scene, twerking, TV news footage in Spanish and police body cams. These are definitely topical, as a modern GTA game would be.
We also get a glimpse of the dual protagonists that are the star of GTA VI, a criminal couple.
Rockstar Games were supposed to release the trailer later today, but released it early because, like the game itself previously, it got leaked.
Grand Theft Auto VI won’t be coming out soon, we’ll have to wait until 2025 for it to be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S.
No word on a PC release yet, which is odd for a multi-platform release, but not odd for Rockstar, as previous games like Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA V have a PC port released years after the console release.
