Gran Turismo Sport is getting its monthly free content update early this month. Consider this an early Christmas present.
Update 1.53 is adding the Weathertech Laguna Seca Raceway. Teased first in previous GT World Tour events as part of the FIA-Certified GT Championship, the Gran Turismo staple is returning.
As for cars, we are getting three new cars, and three safety cars. The new Ford GT from 2017- resurrected as Ford returns to Le Mans in 2016 to repeat their success 50 years ago- is now in Gran Turismo Sport.
An early 90’s Porsche 911, the original Volkswagen Golf GTI and the luxurious four-door sedan Toyota Crown Athlete completes the list of new cars. Also, there are now safety car variants for the Renault Megane, that new Toytota Crown Athlete and the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat.
The latter is surely being decked out in custom police car livery by the community, for sure.
Here’s the full list of cars:
- Ford GT ’17 (N700)
- Porsche 911 Carrera RS Club Sport (993) ’95 (N300)
- Toyota Crown Athlete G ’13 (N300)
- Volkswagen Golf I GTI ’83 (N100)
- Toyota Crown Athlete G Safety Car (N300)
- Renault Sport Mégane R.S. Trophy Safety Car (N300)
- Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Safety Car (N700)
Expect new GT League single-player events, new Scapes featuring the locations of Laguna Seca and a Circuit Experience for said track included in the update.
New tracks are always a welcomed addition to the game. And it’s good to see Polyphony Digital holding up to their promise of continuous free updates throughout 2019. The update should be live later today.
