It’s a Christmas miracle, the monthly free game update for Gran Turismo 7 arrives early. The updates usually drop on the last week of each month, so to have it this early is nice, but not a total surprise.
The December 2022 update, version 1.27 of GT7 adds five new cars. That’s two more than the usual cadence of three per month. And this month, the selection is more on the modern side, something the racing game lacks a bit in its 400+ car roster.
The headliner of the pick is the new Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo. A new concept car designed from the stables of Maranello, those who participated in the Viewers Campaign for the recent GT World Series will be getting this car when the update arrives today. The car will enter Brand Central on December 23.
The date of this car’s early access was the date when the update dropped. Hence, this update released early is “not a total surprise”.
We get a new Alfa Romeo for fans of sports saloons. After previous updates added a new Maserati (Maserati), this time we’re getting a new Bugatti (Bugatti). The Bugatti Chiron hypercar is now added. The design of this production car was influenced by the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo.
On the other side of the pond, there’s a new Corvette, the new Corvette. The C8 Corvette Stingray, with its new mid-ship engine placement, is here, joining the rest of the Corvette generations available in GT7.
And for fans of motorsport icons of the past and Japanese cars, the last of the inclusion is the Toyota Celica GT-FOUR Rally Car. This particular version is from 1994, as driven by Juha Kankkunen alongside co-driver Nicky Grist.
Gran Turismo 7 December 2022 Update New Cars
- Ferrari Vision Gran Turismo

- Bugatti Chiron ’16
- Chevrolet Corvette C8 Stingray ’20
- Toyota Celica GT-FOUR Rally Car (ST205) ’95
Gran Turismo 7 already has plentiful cars on the roster, but the current offering of modern cars is still missing some big hitters as the game focused on bringing back older ones that were not seen in the previous game, Gran Turismo Sport.
It’s good to see GT7 continues to add more content. Last month saw the addition of a whole new track, Road Atlanta.
