Ghost Of Tsushima, the PS4’s final exclusive game developed by a first-party developer, has been selling well.
In fact, it’s now the fastest-selling first-party original IP on PS4.
Sucker Punch’s open-world samurai action game sold more than 2.4 million units on the first three days alone, as revealed on PlayStation’s Twitter:
While critical reception may be mixed (but leaning towards positive), it looks like players around the world are totally okay with another open-world game. Our review states says that it “brings new ideas to an otherwise stale genre of open-world games.”
Other new IPs on PS4 from a Sony first-party developer includes Guerrilla’s Horizon: Zero Dawn, Bend Studio’s Days Gone, Pixelopus’ Concrete Genie and SIE Japan Studio’s Knack.
