Furi Gets New Character DLC And Free Update On May 17

The Game Bakers’ boss-rush-only character action game Furi is getting a new DLC this month.

The DLC is a response to fans wanting to re-experience playing Furi for the first time again. The devs responded by adding a new playable character, the Onnamusha Rider.

The Onnamusha Rider, Onnamusha being the Japanese term for describing female warriors during Medieval Japan, may look similar to the regular protagonist at first glance, but she has an entirely new moveset to play with.

She can alternate between two stances, one has faster but weaker attacks and the other hits harder but slower. Once you fill the Star gauge, you can unleash powerful and fast attacks under a time limit.

The Onnamusha Rider is playable in Story, Speedrun and Practice modes.

In addition, a free update will be released coinciding with the DLC drop. The free update will add all the paid and free content previously available as part of the One More Fight DLC, as well as all improvements and new features added since launch (Invincible Mode, Furier Speedrun, Alternate controls and more).

Furi Onnamush Rider DLC and the free update will be released on May 17 for PlayStation, PC (Steam), Xbox and Nintendo Switch.
