While the community is asking THQ Nordic (and Deep Silver) whether we will see a new TimeSplitters game soon, another Free Radical Design game has re-appeared. It’s Second Sight.
The third-person thriller about a man waking up to psychic powers was published by Codemasters until it was delisted around 2012.
THQ Nordic acquired the rights to both TimeSplitters and Second Sight. While both IPs has been transferred to Deep Silver (a fellow publisher under the Embracer Group, which THQ Nordic is a part of), Second Sight’s 2021 re-listing is done by THQ Nordic.
It’s a peculiar, quirky and unorthodox shooter (when you aim down a sniper scope, there’s a picture-in-picture showing the zoom instead of it being full-screen) with an intriguing story. And it’s still a fascinating take on a stealth action game with psychic powers- very different to the other action game with psychic powers released in that same year- Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy.
