The latest Festival Playlist for Forza Horizon 5 is now live. Series 22, dubbed Upgrade Heroes, is focused on tuned-up cars, encouraging you to upgrade your cars. This includes The Trial, which mandates specific cars to be tuned up to higher classes to enter.
(You can just grab a shared tuning config by the community like always, but it’s nice to see this being an expected thing each player must do.)
In light of that, the update brings back the Horizon Test Track first featured in the first Donut Media Horizon Story. The test track now allows you to use any car to configure tunes and, more importantly, upgrades. It allows you to upgrade and test setups in real-time.
More interestingly, you can also now enter the Horizon Test Track as a convoy (party) of 12 players. So everyone can work on their car together, essentially.
The series also adds new rims, and a new Horizon Story featuring the folks at Donut Media once more.
Forza Horizon 5 Series 22 New Cars
There are five cars added to the Festival Playlist in Series 22, though only two are new-to-Forza, the rest being the return of cars previously featured in other games but didn’t make the cut for Forza Horizon 5’s launch. And there are some gems here: the GMC Syclone and GMC Typhoon are quirky, supposedly premium cars of their time that didn’t catch on, but have now gained more appreciation.
(bold indicates new-to-Forza cars)
- 2023 Formula Drift #64 Forsberg Racing Nissan Z- 160 points on the Upgrade Heroes Festival Playlist
- 2021 Mercedes-AMG GT Black Series – 20 points in Summer
- 1991 GMC Syclone – 20 points in Autumn
- 1992 GMC Typhoon – 20 points in Winter
- 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL 65 AMG Black Series – 20 points in Spring
There are more than five new cars being added in this series. The new Donut Media Hi-Low Horizon Story adds four cars as featured by the influential YouTube channel.
Plus, there’s also a new DLC pack, the Horizon Racing Car Pack. This DLC pack adds 4 new-to-Forza cars, and is not part of Car Pass so it’s an entirely separate purchase. The cars in the Horizon Racing Car Pack are the following:
- 2023 Lotus Emira
- 2022 Pagani Huayra R
- 2021 Forsberg Racing Nissan ‘Altimaniac’
- 2020 Saleen Sportruck XR Black Label
