The upcoming game update for Forza Horizon 5, to coincide with Series 21 of the Festival Playlist, Explore The Horizon, will bring improvements to Photo Mode.
The Photo Mode has new features now thanks to fan feedback, and this includes the option to have your customised Horizon Superstar pose for the camera outside of the vehicle.
Forza Horizon 5 allows you to customise your driver with many different clothing and accessories, including prosthetics and hearing aids. But the characters are rarely seen outside of cars other than loading screens, event transitions during multiplayer, and the start of story missions.
Now, if the car is stationary, you can enter Photo Mode and have the driver pose outside. Various unlocked emotes are supported and can be used in Photo Mode as well for dramatic/goofy screenshots.
Here are all the new features of the Photo Mode:
- Time of Day Changes: Default, Dawn, Sunrise, Morning, Early Afternoon, Late Afternoon, Sunset, Evening, Night.
- Weather Changes: Default, Clear, Clear Post Rain, Cloudy, Cloudy Post Rain, Overcast, Light Precipitation, Heavy Precipitation, Gale, Fog.
- Wheel Tilt: Default, Straight, Left, Right.
- Guidelines: Disabled, Different Aspect Ratios, 9×9 Grids, Golden Ratios.
- Character Positions*: Driver Seat, Centre Front, Left Front, Right Front, Centre Back, Left Back, Right Back, Left Side and Right Side.
- Character Emotes: Various emotes unlocked by the player are supported.
- Photo Presets: Added to the “Effects” menu, players can save, rename and delete Photo Mode presets to quickly load their favourite Photo Mode settings.
- Portrait Mode Toggle: Accessed through the Guidelines, this allows players to view how the photo will appear in portrait view.
The new Photo Mode, alongside new overlanding mods for 16 cars/trucks, will be added in a game update scheduled to go live on May 23. The upcoming Festival Playlist will go live on May 25.
