The upcoming Forza Horizon 5 takes the open-world racing to Mexico, which developers Playground Games have billed to be the most diverse locale yet.
And now we know a bit more of the open world outside of the reveal trailers. As an open world, Mexico in Forza Horizon 5 is divided into 11 different biomes. Including two kinds of coasts and two different varieties of deserts.
Seasons will return but unlike in Forza Horizon 4, seasons are now localised to the biomes. Spring in the jungles and farmland biomes translates into the rainy season, while summer will see tropical thunderstorms on the coasts.
Here are all 11 different biomes in Forza Horizon 5
- Canyon
- Tropical coast
- Farmland
- Arid Hills
- Jungle
- Living Desert
- Rocky Coast
- Sand Desert
- Swamp
- Urban City of Guanajuato
- Volcano
Forza Horizon 5 releases on November 9 for the PC (Steam, Microsoft Store) and Xbox Series X|S, as well as coming to Xbox Game Pass on launch.
