First Gran Turismo Sport Content Update For March Has Arrived, Adds 5 New Cars And New Track Autopolis

Is that a Supra?!

Gran Turismo Sport has been updated. Update 1.34 is the first one since January and the first of two content updates.

The notable additions are of course the 5 new cars. The community has been guessing the cars included in this rather small selection for updates, and most of the guesses are spot on. The new Toyota Supra in production car form being the highlight, this is its debut in a racing game.

The cars are as follows:

  • Mazda Eunos Roadster (NA Special Package) ’89
  • McLaren F1 GTR – BMW (Kokusai Kaihatsu UK Racing) ’95
  • Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren ’09
  • Pagani Huayra ’13
  • Toyota GR Supra RZ ’19

The surprise in this update is the new, real-life track. Autopolis is a staple in the Super GT series and is making its first appearance in the Gran Turismo series. The clockwise track is a rollercoaster of many long twisty turns driven up and down hills. Fun if you have a car that can take corners with ease, something the new Supra can do.

Alongside that, new GT League events and a bunch of scapes (photo mode) location set on Autopolis is also added. Gameplay gets a bit of a tweak too as tyre wear has been adjusted.

Later this month, two 2019 Super Formula cars will also be added to the game as well. There’s plenty of representation of Japan’s motorsport scene right now in GT Sport, which is to be expected.
