The PS1 and PS2 era of Final Fantasy games are now all playable on a modern console or PC- and that includes the last piece of the puzzle, Final Fantasy VIII.
Final Fantasy VIII Remastered was first revealed at E3 2019, showing that Square Enix has not forgotten the adventures of Squall and his military academy friends. All scenes and graphics have been upscaled for 1080p displays.
The remaster will sport some quality of life features including a no random battle toggle, up to 3x the speed boost and a battle assist- which is essentially god mode where HP and the ATB gauge are at max, with Limit Breaks triggerable at any time in battle.
Final Fantasy VIII Remastered is out today on PS4 (including PS Store Asia), PC (Steam), Xbox One and Switch. PS4 and Steam are pricing it at RM83.
