Final Fantasy VII Remake Adds All-New Corneo Colosseum

Final Fantasy VII Remake may only cover the Midgar portion of the epic (length-wise) JRPG, but it is being fleshed out with extended, and new, content.

And one more new content coming to the remake is called the Corneo Colosseum.

As the name implies, it’s located in the Wall Market where Don Corneo runs the town. In here, your party will have to battle waves of combatants- humans and monsters alike- and receive rewards for winning them.

Think of it as Kingdom Hearts’ Colosseum rounds.

Square Enix also shared tons of new screenshots of the Wall Market, and also The Honeybee Inn within it. Yes, they haven’t forgotten the part where Cloud has to wear a dress (alongside Tifa and Aerith) to infiltrate the sleazy Don Corneo’s mansion.

Previously, Square Enix revealed that the Train Graveyard section is getting more fleshed out in the remake. That sequence should take place right after the events at the Wall Market and Honeybee Inn. So looks like, what we presume to be, the tail-end of the FF VII R will be a bit fresh for veterans and long-time fans.

Final Fantasy VII Remake is due for release on April 10th for the PS4. A demo is already available on the Playstation Store.
