FIA European Truck Racing Championship Features Real Trucks Racing On Real Tracks, Coming Out This July

Okay, if you like trucks but hauling cargo cross country while abiding by road rules like Euro Truck Simulator 2 does not appeal you, how about this. Bigben is publishing an officially licensed title to the FIA European Truck Racing Championship (ETRC).

Simply titled FIA European Truck Racing Championship, this is a truck racing sim based on the real, FIA-endorsed championship where you drive 5-ton trucks around iconic tracks like the Nurburgring and Le Mans.

The game itself will follow the same race weekend format, featuring 4, 45km sprint races on the same track. There’s also an extra layer of management element involved on top of your usual tyre life. You need to manage a reservoir of 200 litres of water that is used to cool down brakes. Which is vital, you don’t want to drive a truck with failing brakes.

The game will limit the grid to only 12 trucks, however- the full grid on the ETRC could see up to 20 trucks competing. But all the trucks, teams and tracks of the official calendar will be represented. Plus, there are other tracks outside of Europe too including Laguna Seca, COTA and Fuji Speedway.

The game is developed by new developers N-Racing, utilising the same KT Engine seen in V-Rally 4, the WRC games and TT Isle Of Man.

Expect to see FIA European Truck Racing Championship to be out in July this year for the PS4, PC (Steam), Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
