SNK has revealed its partial lineup of DLC characters coming in Season 3 of Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves. The six new fighters, four are revealed today, are all “Destined For Revenge.” That’s the theme for Season 3, in contrast to Season 2 which had “Legends Unleashed.”
Three of the four revealed new Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves are returning South Town veterans—the reveal trailer even makes use of sprites from their previous video game appearances.
Boxer Rick Strowd returns since Real Bout Fatal Fury 2: The Newcomers. Duck King, the OG South Town DJ, made a cheeky cameo already in City Of The Wolves but he’ll now be available to go head-to-head against the new DJ in town. And taekwondo master and KOF regular Kim Kaphwan is joining his sons Kim Jae Hoon and Kim Dong Hwan, completing the Kim family of fighters all playable in this title.
The curveball addition is Laocorn, who’s making his playable debut. He’s the villain from the 1994 film Fatal Fury: The Motion Picture. That explains why he only has anime stills and no spritework in the reveal trailer.
Two other characters are yet to be revealed. So it’s not ruled out if SNK will be adding guest character. Last season capped off with the addition of Kenshiro from Fist Of The North Star.
Unlike other fighting games that’s settled for a four-character-per-season/one-character-per-three-months cadence, Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves will be dropping the new DLC characters in a monthly basis. One new DLC character per month.
Season 3 of Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves begins on July 23, and will end at the end of the year.

SNK has also added the option to purchase individual character DLCs, instead of having to get them all through the Season Pass. If you only vibe with one or two specific characters, you can now opt to get access to them at a more affordable price.
In addition, there’s also a new bundle, Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves Legend Edition, that includes the base game and both Season Pass 1 and Season Pass 2. If you just looking to get into the game and want all of the DLCs up to Season 3, there’s also the new Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves Revenge Edition.
