Eximus Gearing Up For Closed Beta This Month, New Faction And Map Teased

Eximus, the FPS/RTS hybrid developed by Malaysia-based Ammobox Studios, are now ready to start a closed beta. The developers teased this on their Steam updates page, with details on how to enter the beta to be revealed soon.

More content was teased as well. A new faction, Axeron, was shown which favours guerrilla, hit-and-run tactics. This is the second faction, with the other, Global Security Force (GSF) being the balanced, bread-and-butter choice.

A new co-op map where 4 players defend a base was revealed as well, with plans to add in dynamic objectives. This sounds like the game’s take on a horde mode and with its RTS building mechanics, should be a nice fit.

Eximus is a multiplayer FPS with one player on each side acting as the Commander, where they see the action from a bird’s eye view, issue commands, research tech and build structures like an RTS. The troops on the ground gets access to various weapons, vehicles and big exosuits called BattleSuits to fight. The indie game is powered by Unreal 4.

Eximus is targeting an Early Access release on September 2018 on PC via Steam.
