Eternal Strands Releasing This January, Collab With Final Fantasy XVI Devs Teased

Eternal Strands, the debut game by Yellow Brick Games, will launch this January, as revealed at the PC Gaming’s Most Wanted showcase.

A new story trailer revealed the release date.

In addition, Yellow Brick Games announced that there will be a collaboration with Square Enix’s Creative Studio Unit III, the development team behind Final Fantasy XIV and Final Fantasy XVI. The collab is with the dev team specifically (Lead Artist Yusuke Mogi is involved), so we’re not seeing Bahamut in Eternal Strands. Rather, the dev team will be creating new creatures, weapons and an armour set for Eternal Strands.

The collab content will arrive post-launch as a free update.

Eternal Strands will be out on January 28, 2025, just ahead of the busy month of February 2025 filled with big game releases. It will be available on PS5, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store) and Xbox Series X|S.
