The Epic Games Store is severely lacking in features, the only saving grace is its growing library of exclusive games and free games giveaway. But Epic is slowly chipping away with adding more features to the store slash launcher,
One of these features, cloud saves, has started to roll out. But so far it’s only for some games, folks have spotted that Moonlighter, which is free on the Epic Games Store for now, has this feature on.
Tim Sweeny, Epic’s CEO, confirmed that it is true and the rollout for cloud saves in other games are ongoing. So it’s not something developers can just hit a switch.
Cloud saves are enabled for a couple of new games right now. We have a bit more work to do before rolling it out more widely.

Cloud saves is part of the Epic Games Store road map, which was scheduled to be out by this month, though this is partially implemented still.
At least it’s good to know that work is being done to make the launcher and store a more bearable experience for end-users, not just for developers (which has been a pretty good deal for them).
