Embr Leaves Steam Early Access And Releasing On Consoles September 23

Fight fire with friends. Curve Digital announced that Muse Games’ multiplayer co-op game Embr now has a release date for consoles.

In addition, the game which is already on PC via Steam Early Access will also be leaving Steam Early Access. The game is also currently available on Stadia.

Similar to many of these frenetic co-op multiplayer games, Embr tasks you to work together as a team to earn the elusive 5-star rating for each job. The job is putting out fires. And also deliver takeout food. And drop explosive parcels. And a safety engineer.

You play as firefighters in a gig economy world, so the other side hustles are also part of the game. It’s not like buildings are on fire every day these days, aren’t they?

The game is played in first-person, so no couch co-op, but the game has online co-op up to four players.

The full release adds 2 new districts housing 12 new levels, 13 new tools for fighting fire, 5 new game modes, weekly and daily challenges and even cross-play across PC, PlayStation, Xbox and even Stadia. Switch is missing out on cross-play, unfortunately.

Expect new difficulty settings and level mutators as well as tones more cosmetics plus a UI overhaul in this full release.

Embr will release in full on PS4, PC, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on September 23.
