After hearing rumours about the state of Anthem and its developers Bioware- with this being their make-or-break project- EA has now confirmed that the game will be in 2019 rather than the earlier target of Autumn 2018.
EA denied the claims of Kotaku’s report, however. “This is not a delay,” said EA CFO Blake Jorgensen speaking to Wall Street Journal. Rather it is an intentional call for the company to release a new IP in a “quieter quarter”, which implies the game is still aiming to release in early 2019.
In addition, EA also confirmed the launch of a new Battlefield this year.
