At the Xbox E3 briefing, Forza, the staple racing franchise, got a presence. But not in the way you’d expect. There was a car on stage like when they announced Forza Motorsport 7. But there was no mainline Forza game. Instead, they announced the Forza Horizon 4 LEGO Speed Champions expansion.

Just like Forza Horizon 3 got a Hot Wheels expansion, now we’re getting Legos. A new map called Lego Valley- populated by minifigs and a Lego brick-build buildings and new, Lego-fied cars of the McLaren Senna, the Ferrari F40 Competizione and 1967 Mini Cooper S Rally. The three cars are derived from real Lego Speed Champions line, hence the expansion name.

And yes, it’s awesome. Have a look at the trailer:

Forza Horizon 4 Lego Speed Champions expansion will be out this week, June 13th for the Xbox One and Windows 10 PCs.

Curiously, there was no new Forza game announced this year. Most likely we’ll hear about the next Forza- which should be Forza Motorsport 8- next year just in time for Project Scarlett’s launch.
