E3 2018: Devil May Cry 5 Announced, Out In Spring 2019

At the Xbox E3 2018 press conference, Devil May Cry 5 was announced. Long rumoured to be in the works by longtime series director Hideaki Itsuno, Devil May Cry 5 follows the journey of Nero who now runs the demon-hunting business called Devil May Cry. He has lost his Devil Bringer arm from DMC 4, but has now teamed up with new sidekick Nico to make new prosthetic arms he can equip for different powers and abilities. Nero’s trademark Red Queen sword and Blue Rose gun returned.

There will be three playable characters- one of them is likely an older Dante. The game is running on the RE Engine, first used for Resident Evil 7 which explains the very realistic styling of the faces for all the characters.

Here’s the reveal trailer:

More details will be out for Devil May Cry 5 at Gamescom. It will be out in Spring 2019 for the PS4, PC and Xbox One.
