Here’s something wholesome, silly and a wee bit strange. Time On Frog Island is an upcoming new sandbox puzzle adventure game by Half Past Yellow and published by Merge Games.
In Time On Frog Island, you’re a sailor whose boat is broken after being shipwrecked and landing on Frog Island. You need to fix your boat, and the frog-like inhabitants are willing to help, if you are willing to trade.
This will lead you into a “spaghetti network of trades” where you’ll be collecting one thing to trade for the other thing over and over until you get to the one boat part you need to fix your boat. How you solve these puzzles, and how to get those things they requested, is left up to you to figure it out.
Also, your sailor also has frog-like abilities, apparently? Seeing them lunging out their tongue like that is the right amount of jarring and silly.
Time On Frog Island is targeting a Summer 2022 (Q3 2022) release for PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch.
