Demon’s Souls Remaster Looks Impressively Next-Gen In New Gameplay Trailer

Demon’s Souls, the cult-hit action RPG that spawned a new subgenre and rekindled an appreciation of difficulty in games, will be a PS5 launch title. This is in the form of a remaster handled by Bluepoint Games, which previously handled the well-made remaster/faithful remake of Shadow Of The Colossus.

Revealed on the recent PS5 Showcase was a new snippet of gameplay. And how spectacular the visuals have been reworked from the 2009 original. If you’ve played its spiritual successor Dark Souls or the many soulslike it has helped spawn, the gameplay should look familiar.

Demon’s Souls will be available on the PS5 launch, which is September 12 in USA, Mexico, Canada, Japan, Australia and New Zealand, and September 19 for the rest of the world (including Malaysia). This is one of the few titles that is priced at $70 USD– $10 USD more expensive than usual- so expect a price hike seen in other regions as well.
