Cyberpunk 2077 Hotfix Addresses Epilepsy, Copyright Music Issue

A new update for Cyberpunk 2077 has been released on PC and PS4, with the Xbox version coming soon. On PC, the update is 1.4GB in size.

The 1.04 hotfix two major issues that are affecting players: a specific game sequence that can trigger seizures for epileptics and the “disable copyrighted music” not removing all copyrighted songs.

The sequence of entering braindance involves some flashing lights, and as pointed out by Game Informer, is designed similar to what medical professionals use to trigger seizures for patient diagnoses. This has now been addressed, as “the effect has been smoothed out and the flashes reduced in frequency and magnitude.”

Several copyrighted songs were mistakenly present even after the “disable copyrighted music” toggle is on. That has been fixed too.

The hotfix also fixes many quests and also improves the quality of reflections on PS4 and Xbox One. You can read the patch notes in full here.
