Pearl Abyss’ single-player title Crimson Desert now has a release date. At the September 2025 State Of Play broadcast, a new trailer emerges with a release date locked in.
The new trailer shows off a lot of fights, its incredible visual fidelity (running on a PS5 Pro) but more importantly, decent voice acting.
The trailer also gives a glimpse of the many different gear protagonist Kliff can equip. He’s a Greymane, which has Viking vibes in this fictional world of Pywel, but his choice of fit is more diverse than just that, which is cool to see.
Crimson Desert is the first single-player title from the makers of the still-ongoing and supported MMORPG Black Desert. The game has been delayed a number of times since it was announced back in 2020, where it was expected to release in 2021.
Crimson Desert is now set to launch on March 19 (UTC time, March 20 globally) for the PS5, PC (Steam), Mac, and Xbox Series X|S. That’s one day before the release of another game featured on the same State Of Play broadcast, Saros. But at least this open world game stays clear from the big, looming open world game release of next year, GTA VI.
