Crash A Party- Chivalry 2 Latest Update Adds New Map, Cross-Play Parties, Defenestration

Multiplayer medieval combat game Chivlary 2 keeps the party going with the latest free update, Raiding Party.

Raiding Party adds a new map, as well as a “Cross Parties”. This enables players to invite friends on other platforms to be in the same party and fight together.

Chivalry 2 has had cross-play since launch, but there is no way for friends across platforms to group up together- you just have to join the same server and hope for the best. The feature is marked as in “beta”, so expect it not to work 100% of the time, but it’s better than nothing.

As for the new map, it’s a Team Objective Map: “The Sacking Of Bridgetown”. In this 64-player map, the Agathian wine festival is being disrupted by the Tenosians. So it’s the blue-and-gold versus the new faction of people from the desert lands.

The Tenosians are here to crash the party, with the map starting out in the vineyards. Once the gates are breached, the fight spills into town and later into the building where all the nobles are having their bash. The Agathians must stop all this from happening, or at the very least, stop them from defenestrating the nobles.

But who doesn’t want to throw nobles out of a window? Someone made a specific word for it, even.

Also, a new weapon type, Heavy Cavalry Sword (for Footman Man-at-Arms and Knight Guardian Classes) and a new Campaign Pass is available with this update.

Chivalry 2 is also this month’s free PS Plus game. So expect to see more players from the blue team to join in Chivalry 2 this month. Is this why we have a new featuring the Agathians? Probably a nice coincidence.

Chivalry 2 is available on PS4, PS5, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
