Conqueror’s Insignia 2019 CS:GO Tournament Offers $70,000 USD Prize Pool, Grand Finals Happening In Malaysia

Playtonia, an India-based esports service and tech company, is holding its 2019 edition of Conquerer’s Insignia CS:GO tournament grand finals in Malaysia.

Also referred to as CI in the Indian gaming community, the first edition of the tournament saw 300 teams participated in CS:GO and Dota 2.

The 2019 edition of CI sees the tournament focusing only on CS:GO, with online qualifiers for 29 different countries from three regions. The online qualifiers will be played on Playtonia’s platform of game servers.

For each region, teams will be competing in a single elimination round until the top 8 teams have been narrowed down. Later, the top 8 of each region moves to the decider qualifiers where they will play a round-robin tournament, the winner going to Grand Finals. Travel and accommodation are sponsored by Playtonia.

The Grand Finals, which will be held in Malaysia, will see the four teams- one for South Asia, Middle East, and Southeast Asia plus one invited team to compete for the $40, 000 USD (roughly RM165,660) winner share of the prize pool.
