Coffee Talk Tokyo now has a demo, available on Steam. This is the follow-up to Coffee Talk and Coffee Talk Episode 2: Hibiscus & Butterfly by Indonesia-based Toge Productions and publisher Chorus Worldwide.
Set in an alternate timeline where humans and fantastical folks live together, the player in the Coffee Talk series is a barista of a cafe where you serve drinks to patrons of various backgrounds, while lending an ear to their woes and offer a few words to them.
It’s a visual novel, essentially. Non-alcoholic VA-11 Hall-A, if you will. It’s the writing, the cast of characters, the cosy ambiance nailed by the 2D visuals and excellent soundtrack plus the extensive list of coffees you can brew and serve really puts the Coffee Talk series, and Toge, on the world map.
For this entry, Coffee Talk switches locales from Seattle to Tokyo.
The demo features some of the characters that will appear in the full game including your assistant Vin, struggling musician Jun and Ayame, a “ghost former It-girl trying to figure out her life and afterlife.”
Coffee Talk Tokyo is expected to release later this year. The demo is now available on PC (Steam).
