Another big update to multiplayer medieval combat game Chivalry 2 has arrived. The House Aberfell update is one of the biggest yet by developers Torn Banner Studios, as not only does it add a new Team Objective map, but the map itself contains new mechanics and objectives, plus other additions.
The map, The Raid On Aberfell, is a 64-player (32v32) Team Objective map where the Agatha Knights (blue team) invades the birth lands of the Mason Order’s (red team) King Malric. Agatha has to destroy the obelisks and purge the Druids, while the Masons are on the defence.
One of the new objectives in The Raid On Aberfell involves you stealing pigs, livestock and kidnapping peasants. You’ll need to carry them on your shoulder, which opens up to both gruesome battles and silly shenanigans.
The map also will include oversized beehives, which you can weaponise. Throwing it to unsuspecting players will see bees swarming them inflicting area-of-effect damage.

Also, you can become Druids. These are available on the new map when playing as the Masons. Top-scoring players will get to be Druids equipped with a staff and helmets of various animals (goat, wild pig, deer, eagle).
The House Aberfell update also adds a new weapon: Highland Swords. These are massive swords equippable by the Vanguard class featuring new animations, weapon values and special attacks.
Plus, new cosmetics, including highlander-themed skins are added with the update.
The House Aberfell update for Chivalry 2 is now live on PS4, PS5, PC (Epic Games Store), Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.
