Castle Crashers was one of the early indie game success on the Xbox Live Arcade for Xbox 360 back in 2008, which later saw releases on PS3 and PC (Steam). In 2015, Castle Crashers Remastered was released on Xbox One and also Steam.
Finally in 2019, Castle Crashers Remastered will arrive on PS4 and Nintendo Switch.
The co-op beat-em’-up remaster will run at 60fps, adds a new mini-game called Back Off Barbarian, textures five times bigger than the original release and all DLCs included. It will also have performance improvements and online multiplayer, both on PS4 and Switch. PlayEveryWare is handling the ports.
Developers The Behemoth that they are now working on the next game, tentatively titled “Game 5”, just like their last game Pit People was first revealed as “Game 4”. The developers have been making unique games based on different genres so what sort of game they will make next is anyone’s guess.
