Capcom Is Surveying Players In Asia If They Want Another Resident Evil Remake Or Sequel

It looks like Capcom is surveying players in Southeast Asia (and the rest of Asia) regarding Resident Evil 3. The folks at Polygon found a link to the survey and it has some interesting questions.

For one, Capcom is asking if you would buy a new Resident Evil remake or sequel. The exact wording is:

  • If a new remake title of “Resident Evil” series is released, would you like to purchase?
  • If a sequel of “Resident Evil” series is released, would you like to purchase?

Two other notable questions from the survey are how the RE 3 and RE Resistance demos affect your buying decision. And why you haven’t bought the game yet. RE 3 is RM247 on Steam and PS Store Asia, which is a bit steep considering last year’s excellent Resident Evil 2 is cheaper, and RE 3’s campaign is- as expected- much shorter despite the inclusion of RE Resistance.

So if you have issues with the game pricing, you can also let them know in the survey.

Capcom has been cranking two remakes in a year- and three Resident Evils in three years. With rumours of a sequel coming and the success of the recent remakes, we might still continue to see this franchise. But maybe your answers can sway some of their decision-making.

Resident Evil 3 is out now on PS4, PC (Steam) and Xbox One. Stay tuned as we will have our review out soon.
