Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 4 Sees The Return Of Extraction Mode, DMZ

Call Of Duty drops by the recent Xbox Showcase event to announce the return of a mode that made it’s appearance quite awhile back, and thanks to its competitors, has circle back to being highly anticipated once more.

This year marks the return of their Extraction mode, DMZ, which was last seen back in 2022’s Modern Warfare 2, which was during the rise of the extraction shooter genre with the likes of Escape From Tarkov and HUNT: Showdown being their close competition at that time, and this return is quite welcomed within the community, thanks to the likes of Marathon and Arc Raiders being rather successful recently.

Taking place within the Hajin Exclusion Zone after a nuclear meltdown, this mode help expand the main campaign storyline post game, with their own Story Missions taking place within this area as you and other players would solve or battle within the area in a live server, with a FOB hub situated at the start point of the map for players to stock up on weapons, armor and ammo before each run, or even take on Boss contracts to take them down. This Player Hub of any sort was also last seen almost a decade ago, back during Call of Duty WW2.

A fine inclusion to the game’s rotation of modes, Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 4 is set to release on October 23 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series Consoles, Nintendo Switch 2 and PC.
