Borderlands 4 On Switch 2 Delayed

The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Borderlands 4 has been delayed.

Previously set to release on October 3, next week, the game now has no release date as developers Gearbox “are committed to ensuring we deliver the best possible experience to our fans, and the game needs additional development and polish time to do that.”

Digital pre-orders via the Nintendo eShop will be cancelled on September 26 as a result of this.

No new date has been set for the Switch 2 release of Borderlands 4, though it will likely arrive when cross-save functionality, the ability to bring the same save and progression across different platforms, becomes available. So at least folks who plan to play the Switch 2 as an additional way to experience Borderlands 4 can just continue their current loot and shoot progress they have on PS5, Xbox Series and PC.

Borderlands 4 can be a great time, it’s one of the best entries to the looter shooter series. But it’s also laden with small issues from performance woes to an uneven UI.

While Borderlands 4 is delayed on Switch 2, it’s currently available on PS5, PC (Steam, Epic Games Store) and Xbox Series X|S.
