Be The Devil In New Poetic Roguelike Game Rogue Lords

Nacon (previously Bigben) has announced a new game from a collaboration of developers Cyanide (Call Of Cthulu, Styx) and Leikir Studio. It’s called Rogue Lords, and yes, it’s a rogue-like.

In Rogue Lords, the world is 17th century New England, where mortals and devils live side by side. But you play as the Devil, recently weakened and wants to regain his powers again. So you are on a quest to spread corruption throughout the world, using your Disciples Of Evil (which includes characters like Bloody Mary, Dracula, the White Lady, and Baron Samedi) to do your bidding.

Rogue Lords will feature a 3D world to explore, and you will given options during interactions with various characters. Your Disciples Of Evil is essentially your party as they can engage in turn-based battles. And if that’s not enough, you as the Devil have extra powers to “cheat” the game. If you die, you’ll start from the beginning again.

Only a keyart is revealed, featuring the Bloody Mary. But it definitely gives a Castlevania-ish vibe. Or “macabre and poetic” as it’s being described as in the press release.

Rogue Lords is expected to release this Fall (September-November) on the PS4, PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.
