It’s finally here. The new God Of War will be out on 20th April. First revealed in E3 2016, the latest take of the long-running action-adventure series takes a whole new direction: Kratos now has a sick beard, is now a dad and will be exploring the world up north, which changes the ancient Greek mythology theme into Norse.
Sony and Sony Santa Monica Studio has been coy with the release date. Though several leaks suggests that it would be coming at the end of March, which is already a busy time with big titles such as Sea Of Thieves, Yakuza 6’s English release, Far Cry 5, Ni No Kuni II and EA’s indie game A Way Out all lined up around that time.
To celebrate the announcement, there’s a new trailer that showcases the story of the game, why Kratos and his son Aterus is on this new journey. Be warned of spoilers:
God Of War 2018 will be out exclusively on PS4.
Update 24/1/2018: Sony Interactive Entertainment Hong Kong Limited Singapore Branch (SIES), a.k.a. Playstation Asia has confirmed that the release in Southeast Asia will be on the same date. Physical release will be priced at RM229 for Malaysia, with the digital release at RM209.
