Battletech Getting Its Final Update This Month As Developers Move On To Two New Projects

Battletech, the strategy tactics game about piloting giant mechs by Harebrained Schemes, will be getting its final free update- update 1.9- later this month. The game will still “continue to maintain customer support”.

The 2018 release has since received years of post-launch support, including three expansion packs: Flashpoint, Urban Warfare, and Heavy Metal. The game began as a Kickstarter project, and has ended with success, including having the company picked up by publishers Paradox Interactive.

As Harebrained Schemes are wrapping up with Battletech, it was mentioned that team is working on two other projects, both of which are not related to the Battletech IP.

The developers have previously made Shadowrun Returns and Shadowrun Hong Kong. But now under the new Paradox umbrella, who knows what sort of games will they be working on next.
