UPDATE 23/8/19: Battle Arena has updated that the tournament, now called Battle Arena x 4Gamers League Of Legends MY/SG Tournament, will not be part of the WirForce Esports Invitational. It shall be a standalone tournament, though rules, schedules and prize pool remains. The article title has also changed to reflect this.
The original story is as follows:
Malaysia’s esports club and event venue Battle Arena is partnering up with WirForce to host the Battle Arena X Wirforce League of Legends MY/SG Invitational. The online tournament is the online qualifier to the 2019 WirForce Esports Invitational in Taiwan.
Winners will get a slot representing Malaysia/Singapore (round trip tickets and accommodation covered), as well as a piece of the RM6,000 prize pool.
WirForce, organised by 4Gamers, is one of the biggest LAN parties in Asia, and also the host of said esports tournament. The tournament is made to highlight the talents of amateur and semi-pro players, something that has been lacking in the region despite a having a pro circuit.
Any non-pro players from Malaysia and Singapore, residing in said countries and above 17 can participate with registration open now until September 9th.
There are 128 slots for teams, so if you think you’re good enough in Leauge and want to make that step forward, or just want to play some games with more serious, competitive folks, this is a good chance to do so.
You can sign-up for the tournament here. Registration is free.
