Assetto Corsa Evo Teased, Releasing This Year

Developers Kunos Simulazioni have officially teased the next Assetto Corsa game, titled Assetto Corsa Evo.

The follow-up to the sim racing game was first spotted via a QR code on a billboard that appeared on Assetto Corsa Competizione’s Nurburgring Nordschleife, which just dropped yesterday as new paid DLC. The link directs to a website where you can sign up to a mailing list for news on the upcoming game.

Now that the cat’s out of the bag, Kunos has shared the teaser for Assetto Corsa Evo. It’s targeting a 2024 release with the tagline “Driving Simulation Evolved”.

The original Assetto Corsa launched in 2013 and still to this day continues to have an active community with mods and custom content support.

The follow-up to AC was Assetto Corsa Competizione released in 2019, which moved away from using the proprietary engine to Unreal Engine, and is laser-focused on depicting race cars, as it’s the official game for the championship now known as the GT World Challenge.

It is expected for Assetto Corsa Evo to be the direct sequel to Assetto Corsa (i.e. Assetto Corsa 2). Little is known other about the game so far, but with the game expected to release sometime this year, that will change sooner rather than later.
