The cross-collaboration never ends. It is now revealed that Assassin’s Creed Origins and Final Fantasy XV will have a collaboration. It comes as a surprise though the statement in the Ubi Blog mentioned that the collaboration has started from three years ago when both development teams met at Tokyo Game Show. Previously released trailers have included Easter eggs hinting on this.
As such, Final Fantasy XV will see a new content drop next week. If you have the Dream Egg from the Moogle Chocobo Event you can claim an Assassin outfit for Noctis on August 30.
August 31 will see the release of the Assassin’s Festival DLC- for free. The town of Lestallum will be the host of the festival with various activities. Another outfit from Assassin’s Creed will be available to unlock as well as “enable Noctis to explore more like an Assassin and even use some of the Assassins’ more well-known abilities.”
Parkour across roof tops and land on a stack of hay? You bet.. Air assassinations too.
“This collaboration is the result of being huge fans,” says Assassin’s Creed game director Ashraf Ismail. “There’s a lot of respect between the two teams and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the opportunity to pay homage to each other’s work.”
Since what is announced here are all free content, we can’t complain. Assassin’s Creed has always sneaked into various games for cross-promotion, such as Altair’s suit in Metal Gear Solid 4 and Ezio as a guest character in Soul Calibur V. Same goes to Final Fantasy- recently the Regalia is now available to drive in Forza Horizon 3.
