Alhamdulillah, the latest Assassin’s Creed game, Assassin’s Creed Mirage is out now. Developed by Ubisoft, with Ubisoft Bordeaux at the helm, Mirage sees the series returning to its roots as a open-world, narrative-driven action-adventure game with an emphasis of parkour, stealth and assassinations.
Even the setting, ninth-century Baghdad during the its golden age and the heights of the Abbasid Caliphate, is sort-of a throwback, as the original Assassin’s Creed was set in the Middle East, though at an earlier point of time during the Crusades.
Players play as Basim Ibn Is’haq, a young thief that later joins the Hidden Ones and later becomes a Master Assassin in his quest of learning the truth.
AC Mirage is also the first game in the series to release worldwide featuring full Arabic localisation.
The game is out now on PS4, PS5, PC (Epic Games Store, Ubisoft Store) and Xbox Series X|S.
