Apex Legends Mobile Enters Season 2 With Mobile-First New Legend Rhapsody And More

EA and Respawn Entertainment have officially released Apex Legends Mobile two months ago and now it’s entering Season 2 of its content rollout.

Season 2, Distortion, will see new Legend Rhapsody joining the party. This is a new mobile-first character, the second one so far, and is not yet available in the mainline Apex Legends game available on PC and consoles (including Switch).

Rhapsody is a DJ who has a companion bot Rowdy accompanying her in the round. Here are her perks and abilities:

  • Passive: Gifted Ear – Picks up and visualizes sounds from an extended range
  • Tactical: Hype Anthem – Play a powerful track that speeds up nearby squadmates and recharges shields. Taking damage will end the effect.
  • Ultimate Ability: Rowdy’s Rave – Rowdy projects a wall of flashing lights that blocks incoming sight and scans.
  • Legend Progression Perks:
    • Volume Control – Squadmates affected by your Tactical temporarily gain Gifted Ear
    • Sound Bleed -Occasionally see nearby 3D sound visualizations effects through walls
    • Tuned In – Continuous running increases the range of Gifted Ear
    • Reverb – The more squadmates your Tactical affects, the longer it lasts
    • Harmony – Your Tactical increases the speed of revives and the effect of healing items
    • Rowdy’s Rhythm – During your ultimate, squadmates standing near Rowdy reload faster

Alongside that, Season 2: Distortion adds two new maps: Pythas Block 0 (mobile first Team Deathmatch map) and Kings Canyon (the OG map that was available on Apex Legends’ original launch) plus two new game modes (Gun Game, Hack)

A new Battle Pass, new seasonal shop, three new events, and a Club Showdown are also added with Season 2 of Apex Legends Mobile, alongside improvements to the first-time user experience.

The full patch notes can be found here.

Apex Legends Mobile is available now in Southeast Asia for iOS and Android.
